I knew the audience was going to be pretty star-studded at last night’s Bono show in LA and boy was I right. Obama administration economic adviser Gene Sperling was in the house! Holy shit. And maybe Norman Lear? I don’t know. Bono closed the show by saying “Goodnight, Norman Lear”. Maybe that’s just the way Bono always closes a show? His version of “Goodnight Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are”? I have no idea. But Sperling? Not bad.
